Spanish and Community Health Minor
Through coursework in Spanish and Public Health, students will expand their language proficiency and cultural competency in Spanish and develop competencies to improve the health of the general public through education, behavior change, and improvement of the environment. This innovative minor addresses the need for bilingual community health promotion.

SPAN 2002 has a prerequisite of SPAN 2001 or equivalent. Students may earn credit for SPAN 2002 through credit-by-exam if they place into SPAN 3001 as their first Spanish course at UNI, or students may replace SPAN 2002 with an additional course at the 3000 level.
Students may earn credits for SPAN 2002 through retro-credits earned in SPAN 3006.
